Disposition: - Loyal and devoted: He can be very single-minded in his devotion, and once his loyalty is given to someone, it can be almost absolute and all but almost impossible to break. In canon, the target of Louis's loyalty and devotion is his brother William and the ideals that he stood for - of equality and the existence of a world where the rich and powerful cannot get away with abusing the poor and destitute. Sometimes, it can be extreme, because some of the things that Louis has done to prove his loyalty to the cause include being involved with William's plans for murdering corrupt nobles, and even as a child, he was willing to burn himself with a piece of flaming debris to ensure that their alibi of escaping the Moriarty manor when it burned down was airtight. Even now, after being appointed as Director of MI6, his primary goal and motivation is to maintain the changes that he and his brothers have brought forth to society, to ensure that William's vision comes to pass.

      - Independent and adaptable: Despite his single-mindedness, Louis is not a blind follower. While he defers to William's judgment in most instances as the mastermind of most of the Moriarty schemes, Louis is someone who's not afraid to challenge what he thinks isn't right by his standards, or what he's not satisfied with. Usually this means that Louis absolutely does go off on his own to push for certain outcomes and try to manipulate things to go in his favour - most notably, he does confront William when he feels that William is excluding him from his plans in a "misguided" attempt to protect him from the less savoury side of murder, and he absolutely also does go behind William's back to try and stop him from dying in the events of the Final Problem, to the extent that he's willing to try and compromise with Sherlock Holmes to get what he wants.

      - Self-aware: Louis is both a creature of passion and one of logic - he's shown to be smart and capable (and wouldn't have been offered the Director position in MI6 if he was not) but he's also impulsive, prone to thinking with his heart more than with his head, especially in situations where it prompts a knee-jerk reaction from him. He clearly overreacts when Sherlock bluffs accusing William as the Lord of Crimes without any evidence, his instinctive reaction was wanting to stab Sherlock right there and then with a butter knife just in case Sherlock wasn't bluffing. Thankfully, Louis is self-aware enough not to give in completely to these emotional impulses, able to pull himself back, logic and reasoning his way out of less-than-ideal situations. It serves him well too when it comes to stopping himself from venturing and spiraling down a self-destructive path, because this self-awareness stops him from wanting to follow William into death, instead using the gift that his brother has given him to do more good and to see the new world with his own two eyes.

      - Caring and protective: While he comes off as a little bit more reserved (because he's not in the spotlight as much as William and Albert are, leaning into his role as the ~only~ adopted Moriarty), he's been known to have a warm, calming presence, and much of his time is devoted to caring for both the manor and its occupants. Underneath his more reserved exterior (as compared to William and Albert, who are arguably more in the public eye than he is), however, Louis loves fiercely and passionately, and will not hesitate to cause grievous bodily harm to anyone that he feels will threaten his loved ones. (It's a little bit of a running joke in this canon.)

Suitability: Louis has always been a bit more reserved as compared to the other Moriarty brothers, and while he's not cold, per se, it does take him a while to warm up to people not immediately in his inner circle. Synchrony and manna generation won't come too easily to him initially for that reason, but once he has created enough sincere bonds with people, it'll come a bit easier to him by virtue of his caring nature.

On the topic of significant, real bonds, Louis is no real stranger to them considering that he has his own bond with each member of the Moriarty crew and with his brothers most of all (although admittedly more William than Albert). However, he would be reluctant initially to develop more bonds given his new status as Director of MI6 and the secrets that he now holds, but the Noctium's emphasis on it would force Louis to step out of his comfort zone to adjust and adapt and expand his circle of connections.

Physical transformations might be a little bit more of a culture shock mostly because he's had no experience with any kinds of effects like those whatsoever, but Louis will be okay with mental changes - he's self-aware and able to adapt to changing circumstances to make the best of it. He will endure - and even be fascinated by how different Noctium is compared to England, which will give him an incentive to want to go out and find out more about this world while he's unable to return back to England.

Condition upon arrival: Healthy, if a little exhausted. Being spymaster is extremely difficult, he doesn't know how Albert used to do it.

Abilities: No supernatural powers to speak of. He is, however, as Director of MI6, well versed in infiltration, espionage, hand to hand combat (both with and without weaponry), marksmanship and intelligence. He's also an excellent administrator and bureaucrat, having been tasked with managing the Moriarty estates and properties for most of his life. Hidden talent: he's a pretty good cook.

Inventory: Two knives, hidden in the suit that he's wearing.

      Gembond: Ruby
Gem Location: The pulse point on his left wrist
